LONG-STANDING, LOCAL NONPROFIT WINS ONE YEAR OF FREE MARKETING SERVICES

The Way Station Wins $50,000 Worth of Services from iSynergy

Youngstown, OH: The Way Station was announced as the winner of iSynergy’s second annual Digital Boost contest, giving the Columbiana County-based nonprofit up to $50,000 worth of marketing services over the course of one year. Digital Boost was open to any nonprofit headquartered in Columbiana, Mahoning or Trumbull County in Ohio and Beaver, Lawrence or Mercer County in Pennsylvania, and the winner was chosen via popular vote from a social media campaign that took place throughout July 2018.

“We had great success with SMARTS Art School last year, and we are looking forward to making an even greater impact the second time around with The Way Station,” said Steve Cross, owner and creative director at iSynergy. “To be able to help an amazing organization like The Way Station is exactly the reason why my team created this contest. They make a difference each and every single day, and we want to make a difference for them!”

The Way Station competed against Levy Gardens, located in Youngstown, in the final round of the 2018 contest. As the winner, they will be able to utilize iSynergy’s services for website design/development, branding, collateral design, content writing, content editing, SEO and website hosting for one calendar year.

“More than anything, The Way Station offers hope and has been doing so for 30 years,” said Vicki Ritterspach, executive director for The Way Station. “Families who are struggling need to know we’re out here for them – we operate two DeVine Thrift Store locations, food pantries, emergency assistance, job training and various other services – and winning this contest will boost our visibility throughout the Mahoning Valley, ultimately helping even more people in need.”

Founded in 1988, The Way Station was created to be a place for the lonely to find friendship, the hungry to find food and the hurting to find healing. Over the years, the program has expanded to also include job training, utility assistance, diaper distribution in partnership with Making Kids Count, and regular food, clothing and emergency kit distribution.

Individuals in need can currently reach out to The Way Stations’ two locations in Columbiana and East Liverpool by visiting the website at www.thewaystationinc.org or calling 330.482.5072.
